A little bit about Fellowship Blossom.

Our first full service was Sunday, January
14th 1979. The services were first held in
two  locations . The Blossom school
cafeteria and the blossom Jr. High
auditorium. We met in the cafeteria during
the winter because it provided heat, and in
the auditorium during the summer, which
was usually very hot.
There were 36 members who chartered
the church in 1979. With a vision and
wanting to see God move in Blossom
Texas, land was purchased on Highway
82 in Blossom with excellent road
frontage. Construction began in 1980 on
our first real home. God began to move
in the hearts of the people.  A p. a.
system, podiums, microphones, and
even the sign was donated. New Sunday
school classes were being started and
there was a growing list of candidates
for baptism waiting on the new
baptistery.
As you can see we began meeting in the
church as soon as we had lights and a
place to sit. It was kinda cozy, so to speak,
like a family moving into their home early
because they were so eager to be together.
On August 31st 1980, we had our first
service, with no air condition and no
interior walls, but so many people worked
tirelessly after hours just to see the glory
of our God revealed each time we met.
There is no way to name everyone who
worked during this time, but there was a
core group of men and women whom
God used to do amazing things. How
awesome it is to see men give their time
to God working past midnight. Praise
God! On August 18th there were 3
women who drove a pick-up truck to
Henderson Texas to pick up the
baptistery and the lighted cross. God
can and will do things through people
that seems impossible!
